About Ifyclo-G Cream
Ifyclo-G Cream belongs to the class of 'Topical steroid with Antimicrobial and Antifungal agents' primarily used to treat skin infections, such as eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked and rough skin patches), dermatitis (skin rash), impetigo (red sores on the face), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales). Ifyclo-G Cream is also used to treat diaper rash, lichen simplex (thickened skin due to repeated itching/rubbing), bug bites, burns, boils, dermatoses (skin lesions), otitis externa (inflammation of the ear) and fungus or yeast infections. Skin infection occurs when a foreign microbe like fungus or bacteria invades and affects the skin's tissue.
Ifyclo-G Cream is composed of three medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal), Gentamicin (antibiotic), and Beclometasone (corticosteroid). Clotrimazole is broad-spectrum 'antifungal' medication. It stops fungi's growth by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane to lose its essential components. Gentamicin belongs to the class of 'aminoglycoside antibiotics' it kills bacteria by disrupting its ability to produce essential proteins for its growth. Beclometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Beclometasone effectively treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis.
Ifyclo-G Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. Ifyclo-G Cream has common side effects like redness, itching, irritation and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.
Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Ifyclo-G Cream or other medications. Do not use Ifyclo-G Cream on sensitive areas like nostrils, ears, lips or genitals if the doctor did not advise you. If Ifyclo-G Cream gets into eyes, nose or genitals, wash the areas with clean water thoroughly. Do not cover the affected areas with air-tight dressings after applying Ifyclo-G Cream. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Ifyclo-G Cream.
