Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat diabetes. It is used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a serious condition wherein the body doesn’t use insulin effectively, which causes unusual blood glucose levels. Type II diabetes patients either do not create enough insulin, or the insulin they do make does not accomplish its purpose in the body (insulin resistance). This condition mostly occurs in middle-aged or older patients.
Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's contains Imeglimin, which belongs to the aminotriazines class of antidiabetic medicine. It works in two ways: 1) increased glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) and cell mass preservation; 2) improved insulin action, including the potential for reduction of hepatic glucose output and improvement in insulin signalling in both the liver and skeletal muscle. Diet management and exercise, along with treatment of Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's are used to control blood sugar levels.
Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's may cause certain side effects such as vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, headache and allergic reactions. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. The dose of the medicine will be decided by the doctor based on your disease condition.
Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's should be avoided if you are allergic to any of the medicines or the components in it. Inform your doctor about your medical history and the medicines you are taking, including herbs and supplements, before starting the treatment with Imeglyn 1000 Tablet 10's.
