About INRAMED 5 TABLETS

INRAMED 5 TABLETS belongs to a category of medications called ‘Antihypotensives’ primarily used to treat hypotension (low blood pressure). Hypotension is when blood pressure drops below the normal range, reducing cardiac output and hypovolemia (low blood volume). It can cause dizziness, weakness, fainting, and risk of injury from falls.

INRAMED 5 TABLETS contains the active ingredient midodrine hydrochloride, which acts on the blood vessels via the sympathetic nervous system to correct imbalances of blood distribution. This should help relieve the symptoms you might suffer, such as dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, and weakness when sitting or standing up.

Take INRAMED 5 TABLETS as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take INRAMED 5 TABLETS for as long as your doctor prescribes it. Some people may experience Supine hypertension, Reflex bradycardia, Arrhythmias, Rash, Nausea, Vomiting, Dyspepsia, Headache, and Urinary retention. Most of these side effects of INRAMED 5 TABLETS do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to INRAMED 5 TABLETS or other medicines. If you are a pregnant woman or nursing mother, do not consume INRAMED 5 TABLETS without first consulting your doctor. It should not be used in children below 18 years. Midodrine is contraindicated in patients with severe organic heart disease, congestive heart failure, thyrotoxicosis, phaeochromocytoma, acute renal disease, severe renal insufficiency, urinary retention, narrow-angle glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, known hypersensitivity to any component of the product. And also, Patients with a history of CVA should be monitored closely.

  • Change positions or take a break from activity to relieve symptoms.
  • Avoid postures that put a lot of pressure on just one area of the body.
  • If you have vitamin deficiency, take supplements or change your diet.
  • Exercise regularly like cycling, walking or swimming.
  • Avoid sitting with your legs crossed.
  • Clench and unclench your fists and wiggle your toes.
  • Massage the affected area.
  • Wear warm clothing, especially when it's cold outside.
  • Avoid drafts and heavy air conditioning.
  • Practice to stay calm during stressful or emotional situations.
  • Apply a cream that contains urea, lactic acid, salicylic acid, or alpha-hydroxy acid to help smooth rough patches and prevent more bumps.
  • Painful urination can be reduced by drinking lots of water.
  • Don't hold urine, as it can worsen the pain during urination.
  • Try taking probiotics and eating garlic, which can help reduce painful urination.
  • Sleep well and give enough rest to your body.
  • Take a balanced diet and avoid bladder-irritating foods.
  • Quit smoking and intake of alcohol.
  • Practice yoga and meditation to improve inner strength and stay healthy.
Here are the few steps for dealing with itching caused by drug use:
  • Report the itching to your doctor immediately; they may need to change your medication or dosage.
  • Use a cool, damp cloth on the itchy area to help soothe and calm the skin, reducing itching and inflammation.
  • Keep your skin hydrated and healthy with gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers.
  • Try not to scratch, as this can worsen the itching and irritate your skin.
  • If your doctor prescribes, you can take oral medications or apply topical creams or ointments to help relieve itching.
  • Track your itching symptoms and follow your doctor's guidance to adjust your treatment plan if needed. If the itching persists, consult your doctor for further advice.
  • Rest well; get enough sleep.

  • Skin rash caused by allergies is due to irritants or allergens. Therefore, avoid contact with such irritants.

  • Protect your skin from extreme heat and try to apply wet compresses.
  • Soak in the cool bath, which gives a soothing impact to the affected area.

If you are known to be allergic to INRAMED 5 TABLETS or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. If you get pregnant during treatment with Midodrine, you must stop the treatment immediately once the pregnancy is confirmed. It should not be used in children below 18 years. Hypotension: Low blood pressure is when blood pressure drops below the normal range. It can cause dizziness, weakness, fainting, and risk of injury from falls. Also, severely low blood pressure can deprive your body of enough oxygen to carry out its functions, damaging your heart and brain. Systolic pressure is the pressure when the heart pumps blood out.
