About Ipravent Respules 5 x 2.5 ml

Ipravent Respules 5 x 2.5 ml belongs to a class of medications called ‘anticholinergics’ used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Asthma is a condition in which airways narrow and swollen, resulting in difficulty breathing, coughing, and wheezing (whistling sound). COPD is a chronic (long-term) condition occurring due to a group of lung diseases such as emphysema (a condition in which air sacs of lungs are damaged) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of tubes (bronchi) that carry air to and from in lungs).

Ipravent Respules 5 x 2.5 ml contains ‘Ipratropium bromide’ which is an anticholinergic. It is used to treat symptoms associated with chronic lung conditions and reduce the risk of frequent asthma attacks. It acts as a bronchodilator and works by dilating the muscles in the airway. It also reduces mucus (phlegm) production. This effect helps to improve lung function and reduce breathing difficulty. It is a short-acting drug.

Ipravent Respules 5 x 2.5 ml is available only for inhalation. Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Ipravent Respules 5 x 2.5 ml are headache, dizziness, epistaxis (nosebleed), nausea, nasal dryness, nasal irritation, stomach upset, and cough, and throat irritation after inhalation. Directions for Use

Then, breathe in through the mouthpiece deeply and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Remove the device and breathe out normally.Inhaler: First, remove the dust cap from the mouthpiece and shake the inhaler vigorously. Hold the inhaler with the mouthpiece facing downwards. • If you experience symptoms like coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, or difficulty breathing after taking medication, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Your healthcare provider will work with you to stop the medication causing the reaction, start alternative treatments, and provide supportive therapy.
  • To manage symptoms and prevent complications, follow your doctor's advice to use inhalers or nebulizers as prescribed, practice good hygiene, avoid irritants, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest.
  • Regularly track your symptoms and report any changes or concerns to your healthcare provider.
Here are the steps to manage the medication-triggered Upper respiratory tract infection:
  • Inform your doctor about the symptoms you're experiencing due to medication.

  • Make ergonomic adjustments to your workspace and daily activities to reduce strain on your back.
  • To handle tension that could make back pain worse, try stress-reduction methods like deep breathing or meditation.
  • Use pillows and a supportive mattress to keep your spine in the right posture as you sleep.
