About Itgo-Mt Cream

Itgo-Mt Cream is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat fungal skin infections. It is used to treat various skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, dermatitis, and tinea versicolor (lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs). Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.

Itgo-Mt Cream is a combination of two drugs, namely: Mometasone furoate (corticosteroid) and Terbinafine hydrochloride (antifungal). Mometasone furoate blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Terbinafine hydrochloride works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane (a compound present in the fungi to maintain the cell integrity) and resulting in fungal cell death.

Itgo-Mt Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. Itgo-Mt Cream may cause common side effects like skin peeling, itching, irritation, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and fade away with time. However, if any of the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any of the contents in Itgo-Mt Cream. If you are using any other prescription, non-prescription drugs, herbal, and vitamin supplements, please inform your doctor before using Itgo-Mt Cream. Do not use Itgo-Mt Cream on sensitive areas like nostrils, ears, lips, or genitals. Avoid dressing the infected areas after applying Itgo-Mt Cream unless the doctor advised you to do so. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Itgo-Mt Cream. Itgo-Mt Cream is not approved for use in children below 12 years of age.

Description

The Itgo-MT Cream is an effective solution for a variety of fungal skin conditions. This includes not just ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch, but also eczema and psoriasis. The cream owes its efficacy to two active ingredients: mometasone furoate and terbinafine hydrochloride.

Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid that acts on infected areas by reducing redness, swelling, and itchiness. On the other hand, Terbinafine hydrochloride tackles the source of the problem by inhibiting the growth of the fungal cell membrane, thereby leading to cell death.

The cream is specifically designed for topical use only. In terms of side effects, while some may experience mild skin peeling, itching, or dryness at the application site, these usually do not require medical attention and usually subside over time. However, if any side effect persists or worsens, it is advised to consult a doctor.

Medicinal Benefits

Itgo-Mt Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, dermatitis, and tinea versicolor. Itgo-Mt Cream contains Mometasone furoate and Terbinafine hydrochloride. Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid and blocks prostaglandin's production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. It effectively treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis. Terbinafine hydrochloride is an antifungal drug that treats fungal infections by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane (a compound present in the fungi to maintain cell integrity) and thus resulting in fungal cell death.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Warnings

Inform your doctor if you have chickenpox or measles. Topical use of corticosteroids may sometimes cause systemic immunosuppression (decreased ability to fight infections) which further worsens the infections, hence Itgo-Mt Cream should be used with caution in patients with active infections.  Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Itgo-Mt Cream.
