Kenamore 40 Injection belongs to a group of medications called corticosteroids. It is primarily used to treat the pain of osteoarthritis (OA) in the knee and helps to reduce the joint pain, stiffness, and swelling associated with inflammatory disorders. Osteoarthritis is a common type of arthritis in which the cartilage that cushions the bone's ends erodes due to wear and tear over time. Common symptoms are joint pain and stiffness. The risk of osteoarthritis increases with increasing age.
Kenamore 40 Injection contains ‘triamcinolone acetonide’, which belongs to the class of corticosteroids. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. This effect helps in reducing swelling, pain and discomfort.

Sometimes Kenamore 40 Injection may cause certain side effects such as sore throat, runny nose, sinusitis, dizziness, nervousness, cough, contusions (bleeding under the skin) and injection site reactions. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

The main reason for osteoarthritis is age; the older you are, the more likely you could get osteoarthritis, thus known as degenerative disease, meaning that the joints wear out as a person ages. Other reasons might include past injuries such as torn cartilage, and dislocated joints and ligaments.
