About Keto-B Lotion 15 ml

Keto-B Lotion 15 ml belongs to a class of drugs called 'antifungal' primarily used to treat the skin's fungal infections. It minimizes the redness, itching, pain, and inflammation of the skin caused due to fungal infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Keto-B Lotion 15 ml contains Ketoconazole (antifungal) and betamethasone (steroid). Ketoconazole works by rupturing the fungal cell membrane's outer layer, which ultimately bursts the fungal cell's cellular content, leading to its death. On the other hand, Betamethasone works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers (histamine) that cause allergic symptoms like redness, itching, and skin swelling.

Apply this medicine in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Some people may experience itching, pain, irritation, or burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Keto-B Lotion 15 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Keto-B Lotion 15 ml can cause liver failure, so your doctor will monitor your liver function while you're taking Keto-B Lotion 15 ml. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using the Keto-B Lotion 15 ml. If you use Keto-B Lotion 15 ml in topical form, avoid smoking or going near naked flames as Keto-B Lotion 15 ml catches fire and burns quickly. Use of Keto-B Lotion 15 ml is contraindicated in people with liver disease, asthma, sulfite allergy, an autoimmune disorder, and heart problems; inform your doctor before using Keto-B Lotion 15 ml.

Fungal skin infections

Medicinal Benefits

Keto-B Lotion 15 ml is an antifungal that is primarily used to treat fungal infections. The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Ketoconazole is an antifungal that causes holes in the fungal cell membranes, thereby bursting its cellular content, ultimately killing fungi. Betamethasone is a steroid that acts inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers (histamine) in the body that cause allergic symptoms like redness, itching, and swelling. This treats fungal infections and provides relief from cracking, burning, scaling, and itching of the skin caused due to conditions.
