Ketolac 1Ml Inj belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain, including post-operative pain following orthopedic, abdominal, or gynaecological procedures.
Ketolac 1Ml Inj contains ‘ketorolac tromethamine’, which works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain chemical messengers which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Thus, Ketolac 1Ml Inj helps provide relief from pain.
In some cases, you may experience common side effects, such as injection site reactions, diarrhoea, dizziness, fatigue, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Ketolac 1Ml Inj is not recommended for use during the third trimester of pregnancy, breastfeeding, and in children below 18 years. Drug Warnings
Do not take Ketolac 1Ml Inj if you are allergic to any of its components; if you have/had asthma or urticaria after taking NSAIDs, if you have severe uncontrolled heart failure, active gastric/peptic/duodenal ulcer, active gastrointestinal bleeding, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, bleeding problems, coagulation problems, or moderate to severe renal impairment. Inform your doctor if you have or have had heart problems, liver and kidney problems. Caution should be exercised during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. Taking Ketolac 1Ml Inj and Tenofovir alafenamide together can lead to an interaction, it can be taken if advised by your doctor. However, if you experience any symptoms like nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain or weight loss, fluid retention, swelling, shortness of breath, bone pain, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, confusion, and irregular heart rhythm, contact your doctor immediately. Do not discontinue any medications without consulting your doctor.
Co-administration Ketolac 1Ml Inj and Apixaban may raise the risk of bleeding.
