Epilepsy is a sudden rush of electricity in the brain. In epilepsy, the brain's electrical rhythms become imbalanced, resulting in recurrent seizures, sometimes leading to the unconscious state. Bipolar disorder is a severe brain disorder in which a person experiences extreme mood swings (variance in thinking) and frequent mood and behavioral changes.

Using this medicine during pregnancy may cause harm to the unborn baby also affect cognitive ability (reasoning, intelligence, problem-solving) later in your child's life. Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's should be used with caution in children. If you have depression, liver, kidney, or pancreas problems, urea cycle disorders, inflammation of the tissue that covers the brain and spinal cord, porphyria (a disorder in the formation of red blood pigment) or thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets), inform your doctor before taking Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies or mood swings. Do not stop using Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's without your doctor's advice. Stopping suddenly may cause a serious, life-threatening type of seizure. Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's may cause a severe or life-threatening skin rash, especially in children and in people who take a very high starting dose or those who also take valproic acid. If you have a skin rash, hives, blistering, peeling, or sores in your mouth or around your eyes, please inform your doctor immediately. Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. 

• A ketogenic diet (low in carbohydrates and high in fats) is recommended for children with epilepsy. This diet helps in utilizing fat instead of glucose for the generation of energy.
• Atkins diet (high fay and controlled carbohydrates) is recommended for adolescents and adults.
• Rest well, get plenty of sleep.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise, meditation, and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity, and improves coping skills.
• Prepare your living area, small changes may reduce the risk of physical injury during a seizure.
• Install an alarm or emergency device to get assistance during a seizure attack.

• If you are of child-bearing age, use effective contraception without interruptions during your entire treatment with Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's.
• After taking Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's if you have thoughts of harming or killing yourself (suicidal behavior), stop taking Lamictal XR 100 Tablet 30's and immediately contact your doctor.
