Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml contains Ambroxol, Chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nasal passage. Chlorpheniramine blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of chemical messengers known as prostaglandins that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine works by narrowing the blood vessels and provides relief from nasal congestion. Together, Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml helps in providing relief from cold symptoms and allergies.
Take Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml as prescribed. You are advised to take Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach upset and dizziness in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml contains paracetamol, do not take any other medicines containing paracetamol along with Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml unless prescribed. Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml should be given to children only if prescribed by the doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol with Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml is a combination of four drugs, namely: Ambroxol, Chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers known as prostaglandins responsible for pain and fever. Together, Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml helps in providing relief from cold symptoms and allergies.
Do not take Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you have taken MAO inhibitors in the last 14days. Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, enlarged prostate, blockage in the stomach or intestines, asthma, COPD, epilepsy, overactive thyroid, pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland), diabetes, heart, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml may cause drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Consult a doctor before giving Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml to children. Avoid consuming alcohol with Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml contains paracetamol, do not take any other medicines containing paracetamol along with Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml unless prescribed. If your condition does not improve despite taking Lemo Cold Drops 15 ml for a week or if your symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
