About Levin-AM Tablet 10's

Levin-AM Tablet 10's is a cough and cold medications medication primarily used to treat symptoms of the common cold such as sneezing, runny nose, congestion, stuffy nose or watery eyes. The common cold is a respiratory illness affecting the nose and throat mostly caused by viruses known as “rhinoviruses”. The virus enters the body through nose, mouth or eyes and spreads easily through droplets in the air when a person who is sick sneezes, coughs or talks.

Levin-AM Tablet 10's is composed of three medicines namely Levocetirizine (antihistamine), Ambroxol (mucolytic agent) and Paracetamol (analgesic and antipyretic). Levocetirizine belongs to the class of antihistamines (anti-allergic drugs) that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions.  It helps to provide relief from symptoms of allergy such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and congestion or stiffness. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in lungs, windpipe and nose. Thereby, helps to cough out easily. Paracetamol is an analgesic (relieves pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever) that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as 'prostaglandins' responsible for pain and fever.

Take Levin-AM Tablet 10's as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend you how often you take Levin-AM Tablet 10's based on your medical condition. Some people may experience drowsiness, headache, tiredness, stomach upset and dry mouth. Most of these side effects of Levin-AM Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Levin-AM Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using Levin-AM Tablet 10's. It should be used with caution in children as prescribed by a doctor. If you have an enlarged prostate gland, spinal cord injury, G-6-PD deficiency (a hereditary condition resulting in low red blood cell counts), fits, kidney or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Levin-AM Tablet 10's.
