Lexanox Oral Paste 5 gm contains ‘Amlexanox’ and belongs to a class of medications called ‘anti-inflammatory agents'. It reduces pain, redness, swelling, and inflammation by blocking the production of chemical substances that cause inflammation. It also forms a protective covering over the sores. This effect allows the ulcers to heal faster.
Lexanox Oral Paste 5 gm is available in the form of an oral paste. You should take this medicine exactly as advised by your doctor. Lexanox Oral Paste 5 gm may not cause any side effects in most cases. However, in some people, it may cause side effects such as pain, stinging, or burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, consult a physician immediately.
Do not take Lexanox Oral Paste 5 gm if you are allergic to it. Do not use it if you have a weak immune system unless recommended by a physician. If you do not notice any improvement within 10 days of using Lexanox Oral Paste 5 gm, inform your physician immediately.
