About Lornit Infusion

Lornit Infusion is used to treat liver diseases such as hepatitis, fatty liver, jaundice, liver cirrhosis, and hepatic encephalopathy. It is indicated to treat different levels of mental and movement function loss (evident and latent hepatic encephalopathy) caused by liver failure.

Lornit Infusion contains L-ornithine-L-aspartate that facilitates the removal of ammonia by increasing glutamine and urea synthesis in the liver and synthesis of glutamine in brain and muscle tissues.

Sometimes, Lornit Infusion may cause side effects such as nausea and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Lornit Infusion . Limited information is available regarding the usage of Lornit Infusion in children; please consult your doctor if you have any concerns. Inform your doctor about your medical history and the medicines you take to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Medicinal Benefits

Lornit Infusion is used to treat liver diseases such as hepatitis, fatty liver, jaundice, liver cirrhosis, and hepatic encephalopathy. It is indicated to treat different levels of mental and movement function loss (evident and latent hepatic encephalopathy) caused by liver failure. Lornit Infusion contains L-ornithine-L-aspartate that removes ammonia by increasing glutamine and urea synthesis in the liver and synthesis of glutamine in brain and muscle tissues. Lornit Infusion converts toxic, harmful ammonia into non-toxic urea, eliminated via the urine. It serves as a stimulus for hepatic glutamine synthesis that could be defective in acute and chronic liver disease. Lornit Infusion helps improve psychometric function in patients with hepatic encephalopathy.
