Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml belongs to a class of medications called corticosteroids primarily used to treat post-operative inflammation and pain following ocular surgery. Pain is an unpleasant sensation and emotional experience that is associated with tissue damage. Inflammation is the immune system's natural response to injury or infection. Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml is prescribed to treat redness and swelling (inflammation) of the eye.

Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml contains Loteprednol etabonate. It is a corticosteroid that works by blocking prostaglandins (a chemical messenger) in the brain that cause inflammation and swelling. Thereby, Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml helps treat inflammation and pain. 

Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only. You are advised to use Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. In some cases, Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml may cause watery eyes, irritation, itching, and foreign body sensation in the eye. Directions for Use

Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only. Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye gel/Ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the medicine into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

Avoid using Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml if you are breastfeeding. Lotesurge 0.5% Eye Drop 5 ml may cause temporary blurred vision, so drive only if your vision is clear.
