Thereby, kills the bacteria and helps in treating and preventing the spread of infections. Maxicef 1000mg Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
In some cases, Maxicef 1000mg Injection may cause common side-effects such as diarrhoea, rashes, anaemia, pain and inflammation at the site of injection. Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Maxicef 1000mg Injection. Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you have severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Maxicef 1000mg Injection may cause thrush or candidiasis, a fungal infection occurring due to the overgrowth of yeast-like fungus in the mouth or throat. Regularly rinse your mouth with water to prevent fungal infections.
It is recommended to complete the course of Maxicef 1000mg Injection even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).
Maxicef 1000mg Injection may cause increased coagulation time (increased thromboplastin/ prothrombin time) which is the time required for the blood to clot. Therefore, be cautious while using any sharp objects and consult a doctor immediately if you notice any unusual bleeding or bruising.
Maxicef 1000mg Injection might increase the effect of coumarin (anticoagulant medicine), therefore, consult a doctor before taking them together.
