About Maxihair 5% Solution
Maxihair 5% Solution belongs to the class of ‘vasodilators’ used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Maxihair 5% Solution stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.
Maxihair 5% Solution contains ‘Minoxidil’, a vasodilator that widens the blood vessels. This vasodilation process helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Alopecia or Hair loss: It is an autoimmune disorder that causes the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any other part of the body. The main symptom is patchy hair loss. Coin-sized patchy hair loss is prominently seen on the scalp. However, a person with alopecia may also lose hair in other body parts, including eyelashes, eyebrows, facial hair, and body hair. Alopecia can be due to heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of ageing. It is more common in men.
