About MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET

MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET is a female hormone known as progestin (a form of progesterone) that regulates ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary). It treats the absence of menstrual periods (amenorrhea) and abnormal uterine bleeding. Besides this, it also prevents endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the uterine lining with the risk of cancer) and overgrowth in the lining of the uterus in postmenopausal women who are receiving estrogen hormone replacement therapy.

MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET contains medroxyprogesterone. MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET works by replacing the normal hormone medroxyprogesterone functions in the body and treating associated symptoms.

Your doctor will advise your dose and how often you need to take this medication based on your medical condition. You may sometimes have breast tenderness, swelling in other body parts, headaches, migraines, mood swings, depression, acne, tummy (abdominal) pain, back pain, and vaginal bleeding. Most of these side effects of MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Medicinal Benefits

MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET is a female hormone that regulates ovulation and menstruation in women. MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET helps in initiating the menses cycle (periods) in women who have not yet reached menopause. Besides this, it prevents overgrowth of the uterus in postmenopausal women who take estrogen as hormone replacement therapy (HRT). MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET is used to prevent thickening of the uterine lining in postmenopausal women receiving estrogens who have not removed their uterus through surgery. It also helps treat amenorrhea (cessation or irregular menses cycle for more than three months). It is also given in combination with estrogens as part of menopausal replacement therapy. The injection form of MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET is prescribed for treating abnormal uterine bleeding along with irregular or ceased menstrual cycles. The intravaginal gel form of MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET assists in reproductive technology for infertile women with progesterone deficiency or irregular or ceased menstrual cycle. The vaginal insert form of MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET supports early pregnancy and implantation of an embryo in the uterus. Off-label use of MEDRONORM 10MG TABLET helps in reducing the risk of preterm birth.

  • Your doctor may suggest certain diet and lifestyle changes to help manage your condition. This may include increasing your intake of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy weight. Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan
  • Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
  • Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
  • Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
  • Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.
  • Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broth, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.
  • Use ginger (tea, ale, or candies) to help relieve nausea.
  • Get adequate rest and also avoid strenuous activities that can worsen nausea.
  • Talk to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication if your nausea is severe.
  • Record when your nausea occurs, what triggers it, and what provides relief to help you identify patterns and manage your symptoms more effectively.
  • Keep your skin clean by gently washing your face two times daily and after sweating. Choose a mild and non-abrasive cleanser.
  • Use gentle alcohol-free skin care products. Avoid products that might irritate your skin such as exfoliants, astringents and toners.
  • Acne may also occur due to oil in the hair. Thus, if you have oily hair, shampoo more frequently than you do now and keep your hair away from face.
  • Keep your hands off your face as touching face throughout the day might worsen acne. Also, do not pick, squeeze or pop acne as it will prolong the healing process and increase the risk of dark spots and scarring.
  • Avoid tanning by applying a broad spectrum sunscreen and wearing sun-protective clothing when outdoors.
