About Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm

Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation and melasma (a type of skin problem). Hyperpigmentation is a common condition in which patches of skin become darker than the normal surrounding skin. Melasma, also known as chloasma, is a common skin condition that causes brown patches on the face. It is more common in women than men. The discoloured (grey-brown) patches occur mostly on the forehead, chin, nose, and cheeks.

Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm is a combination of three drugs: Hydroquinone (skin-lightening agent), Octinoxate, and Oxybenzone (organic compounds). Hydroquinone belongs to the class of skin-lightening agents that works by decreasing the amount of melanin (a skin pigment) responsible for the skin's darkening. Octinoxate and Oxybenzone work by absorbing sun UV (ultraviolet) rays and protecting the skin from sun damage.

Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm is only for external use. Use Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience redness, irritation, itching, burning, or stinging sensation of the skin. Most of these side effects of Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm or any other medicines. If you are pregnant, a nursing mother, or planning for pregnancy, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm. Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm is not recommended for children below 12 years of age unless prescribed by a doctor. Do not apply Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm on open wounds, dry, sunburned, windburned, chapped, or irritated skin. Avoid sun exposure while using Melalite 15 Cream 30 gm as it may make skin more sensitive to sunlight and cause sunburn. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn.
