Metapro 3D 50 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Metapro 3D 50 Tablet helps lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.
 
Metapro 3D 50 Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol succinate. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing excess fluid and electrolytes via urine. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate slows down the heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Metapro 3D 50 Tablet helps treat hypertension.
 
Take Metapro 3D 50 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Metapro 3D 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, stomach upset, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Consult your doctor before taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Metapro 3D 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Metapro 3D 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects.

Do not take Metapro 3D 50 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet if you have diabetes, circulation problems, asthma, thyroid disorder, adrenal gland tumour, heart/kidney/liver problems or if you are on a low-salt diet. Consult your doctor before taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Metapro 3D 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Metapro 3D 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Rise slowly from lying/sitting position as Metapro 3D 50 Tablet may cause dizziness (orthostatic hypotension).

• You are advised to consume low salt and low-fat diet while taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet . 
• Regular exercise is also recommended to complement treatment with Metapro 3D 50 Tablet .
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, fruits.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.
• Practice meditation or yoga as it helps in managing stress.
• Avoid consuming potassium-rich food, such as bananas, broccoli, almonds, avocado, and potassium supplements.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure levels, kidney function and electrolyte levels while taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet is advised.
• If you are due to have any surgery, inform the doctor that you are taking Metapro 3D 50 Tablet .
