Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines that are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER helps lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition where the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). The majority of the time, there are no symptoms or indicators of hypertension.
 
Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER is a combination of Cilnidipine and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels which suppress the contraction of blood vessels and promote smooth blood flow. Metoprolol succinate lowers heart rate and facilitates simpler blood circulation throughout the body. Thus, Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER helps treat hypertension.

Take as prescribed. You are advised to take Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will subside over time. However, if any of these side effects persist, consult your doctor.
 
Do not stop taking Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER on your own as abrupt stopping may cause a sudden increase in blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Do not take Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER if you have diabetes, circulation problems, asthma, thyroid disorder, adrenal gland tumour, heart, kidney, or liver problems; if you are on a low-salt diet, or if you are taking potassium supplements. • Regular exercise is also recommended to complement treatment with Metcross LN 10mg/50mg Tablet ER.
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.
• Manage stress with meditation, yoga, and massage.
• Avoid consuming food rich in potassium, such as bananas, broccoli, almonds, avocado, and potassium supplements.
