Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's contains Ornidazole (antiprotozoal), Diloxanide (amoebicide), and Simethicone (anti-foaming agent). Ornidazole kills bacteria by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide kills the infection-causing micro-organisms by acting on the intestine. Simethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). You are advised to take Metrogyl Compound Plus Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

• Include bland foods such as bananas, rice, apples, cream of wheat, soda crackers, farina, applesauce, and toast to avoid aggravation of the digestive system.

• Eat fibre-rich food such as whole grains, lentils, beans, broccoli, and peas.
• Wash your hands thoroughly before eating and also while preparing or serving.
