About Minoz Gel
Minoz Gel belongs to the class of 'tetracycline antibiotics', used to treat severe acne vulgaris (pimples) and rosacea (redness and visible blood vessels on the face). It effectively treats inflammatory lesions of non-nodular moderate to severe acne vulgaris.
Minoz Gel contains 'Minocycline' that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and stops bacterial growth. It shows a bacteriostatic effect, which prevents the multiplication of bacteria.
Minoz Gel is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, mouth and nose. If the medicine comes in contact with any of these areas, rinse with water immediately. Common side effects include dryness, peeling, burning/stinging sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.
Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Minoz Gel or its components. Minoz Gel can make the skin more sensitive to the sunlight; hence always use sunscreen and protective clothing before you step outdoors. Foam products are flammable; keep them away from flames and extreme heat. Do not puncture or incinerate the foam canister. It is essential to let your doctor know before using Minoz Gel if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Minoz Gel is recommended for children aged nine years and older.
