About Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm

Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm belongs to the class of medicines known as hormones used to treat female infertility and to aid pregnancy. It is also used to restore the menstrual cycle in women who have missed their periods. Female infertility is a condition in which a female body is unable to conceive despite regular, unprotected sexual intercourse for at least one year.

Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm contains progesterone, a female hormone that regulates ovulation and menstruation in women. Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm induces secretory changes in the endometrium lining of the uterus, relaxes the uterus, blocks the maturation and release of follicles and maintains pregnancy.

Use Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm as directed by your doctor. It is intended for intra-vaginal use only. In some cases, Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm may cause abdominal pain, headache, constipation, nausea, and breast pain/enlargement. Do not use Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm if you are allergic to any of its components or if you have/had porphyria, breast or genital cancer, abnormal vaginal bleeding due to miscarriage or missed abortion, blood clots or stroke, liver disease or abnormal liver tests.

Abnormal uterine bleeding, irregular or missed periods (amenorrhea), abdominal pain during pregnancy and frequent miscarriages are the signs of low progesterone. Additionally, low progesterone levels lead to high estrogen levels, and women can have decreased sex drive, weight gain or gallbladder problems.

Miprogen Vaginal Gel 1.125 gm may cause vaginal spotting, vaginal irritation, or application site reactions. Consult your doctor if the condition persists or worsens.
