Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop belongs to the class of 'antibiotics', primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections, such as bacterial conjunctivitis. A bacterial eye infection occurs when bacteria invade any part of the eyeball or its surrounding tissues, including the cornea (clear front surface of the eye) and the conjunctiva (thin membrane lining the outer eye and inner eyelids). 

Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop contains Moxifloxacin, which acts as a bactericidal agent that kills bacteria causing a wide range of infections. It works by stopping a bacteria's ability to copy their genetic material (DNA) which stops them from reproducing and ultimately kills bacteria.

Use Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience common side effects like dry eyes, watery eyes, eye pain or discomfort, blurred vision, redness, itching and irritation of the eyes. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you have any eye or corneal problems or allergic reactions before starting Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop. Let your doctor know if you are planning to get pregnant, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop may cause blurred vision affecting your ability to drive; hence, drive only when your vision is clear. Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop treats and prevents bacterial eye infections. It contains Moxifloxacin, a quinolone antibiotic. It is bactericidal (kills bacteria) and works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA. Thus, Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop prevents bacteria from replication and kills them.

Before using Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop, let your doctor know if have a history of previous eye surgery and eye problems like dry eye syndrome and corneal problems. Avoid touching the dropper with bare hands or taking it closer to the eyelids while administering drops, since it contaminates the dropper tip and solution. Let your doctor know if you are using other eye medications before starting Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop. It is advised to check with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving, or operating machines since Moxa 0.5% Eye Drop may cause blurred vision for a while after using.
