About Mupitone-B Ointment
Mupitone-B Ointment is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. Mupitone-B Ointment does not work against infections caused by viruses and fungi.
Mupitone-B Ointment contains Mupirocin and Bromelain. Mupirocin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow and multiply, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Bromelain works by removing damaged or dead skin cells and promotes healing.
In some cases, you may experience rash, dry skin, swelling, redness or itching at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not cover the treated area with dressings or bandages unless advised by your doctor. Do not use Mupitone-B Ointment to treat serious burns, deep or puncture wounds or raw areas without consulting a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Mupitone-B Ointment.
Uses of Mupitone-B Ointment
Directions for Use
Medicinal Benefits
Mupitone-B Ointment is a combination of two drugs: Mupirocin and Bromelain. Mupirocin is an antibiotic that inhibits the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow and multiply. Bromelain is a proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzyme with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It reduces pain, swelling, and inflammation by stimulating a healthy immune system to release inflammation-fighting chemicals. It also removes dead skin and promotes healing. Together, Mupitone-B Ointment effectively treats skin infections.
