Atropine sulfate belongs to a class of medications known as mydriatics (drugs that dilate the pupil) and cycloplegics (drugs that relax the muscles that allow the eyes to concentrate). It treats eye inflammation (uveitis or iritis) and helps as a diagnostic tool for particular eye tests. It is also used to diagnose visual issues in children under six, such as blurred vision (refraction) and cross-eyed or squinting (convergent strabismus).

Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml contains 'atropine', which relaxes the muscles in the eye, thereby making the pupil of the eye appear larger. This makes it easier for an eye examination. Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml reduces pain and allows the inflamed part of the eye to rest and recover by relaxing the eye muscles.

Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml is only for ophthalmic use (eyes). You are advised to use Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. In some cases, it may cause side effects like photosensitivity, eye pain, visual disturbance and mild stinging sensation in the eye. However, if these side effects persist or worsen your child's condition, inform your doctor immediately.

Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml should only be applied to the eyes. Do not inject or swallow. Before using Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml, inform your doctor about your child's medical history, especially if your child suffers from closed-angle glaucoma (increased eye pressure). Other drugs or supplements should not be combined with Myostop Eye Drops 5 ml unless prescribed by a doctor. Do not use this medication unless specified by the doctor.

• To prevent digital strain, look away every 20 minutes for 20 seconds at something 20 feet away.
• Reduce screen time. Avoid staring at digital screens for a long time.
• Avoid touching eyes with dirty hands as it might cause infection.
• It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, etc. 
• Use only scent-free detergents and soaps.
• Install an air purifier at home.
• Regularly vacuum and dust.
• Limit the carpets, curtains, soft toys and soft furnishings at home.
• Maintain personal hygiene and keep your surroundings clean.

Uveitis: Uveitis is the inflammation of the uvea (middle layer of the eye) and the surrounding tissues. The causes of uveitis could be an eye injury, viral/bacterial infection, or any underlying disease conditions. If untreated, uveitis could lead to loss of vision. Symptoms include vision problems such as cloudy or blurred vision, eye pain, redness, and abnormal sensitivity to light.

Iritis: Iritis is the inflammation of the iris (the coloured part of the eye). It can cause serious problems such as severe vision loss or blindness. Symptoms include eye or brow area pain, redness around the iris, severe pain in bright light, headache, blurry vision or vision loss.
