About Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml

Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml belongs to the combination medication called 'anti-allergic' primarily used to treat symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, allergies and other breathing problems like sinusitis and bronchitis. An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements known as 'allergens.' Allergic condition varies from person to person. Some might be allergic to certain foods and seasonal allergies like hay fever. Whereas, others might be allergic to pollen or pet dander.

Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml contains two medicines namely: Chlorpheniramine maleate (anti-histamine/anti-allergic) and Phenylephrine (decongestant). Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the release of histamine in the body, which is known to cause allergic symptoms. On the other hand, Phenylephrine helps shrink the blood vessels in the nasal passage, thereby reducing the stuffy nose. Together, Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml effectively reduces allergic symptoms.

Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml can be taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The duration of Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml will depend upon your condition. The most common side effects of Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml are drowsiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth/nose/throat, upset stomach, constipation, or trouble sleeping. Most of these side effects of Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml if you are allergic to histamines, or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml. Inform your doctor if you have cardiovascular disease, asthma, kidney or liver disease, diabetes, glaucoma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia. Also, inform your doctor about all other medications you have taken before starting Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml. Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml may cause drowsiness and sleepiness, so it is advised not to drive or operate machinery unless you are alert. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided as it may lead to excessive drowsiness and sleepiness. If you are due to undergo any surgery, please inform your doctor that you are taking Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml as it should not be taken during surgery. Do not take Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (anti-depressant medication) in the past 14 days.

However, if you experience sudden and severe headache, blurred vision, confusion, seizures, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, sweating, lightheadedness, fainting, sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body), speech difficulties, fever, consult the doctor immediately. It is advised to use Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml only after 14 days of stopping Furazolidone.

Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml contains Chlorpheniramine maleate and Phenylephrine. Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks histamine in the body, which is known to cause allergic symptoms. Phenylephrine helps in shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal passage, thereby reducing the stuffy nose. Together, both of them effectively reduce the symptoms of cold and allergies.

It is not recommended to take Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml and any anti-depressant medication as it may lead to unpleasant side effects or drug interaction. Also, Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml should be taken at least 15 days after your last dose of anti-depressants.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to take Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml and skip the missed dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.

Nasoclear Cold-AF Syrup 60 ml is known to cause drowsiness and sleepiness. Hence, you are recommended to take it in the nighttime if you are experiencing excessive drowsiness in the day and avoid driving or doing anything that requires mental alertness.
