About Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm belongs to the class of medicines called ‘corticosteroids’ used to relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Asthma is a chronic (long-term) respiratory condition in which airways narrow, swell and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty in breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes).

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally. Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm decreases inflammation and irritation in the airways and makes breathing easier. Thus, it provides relief from the symptoms of asthma and COPD. 

Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm should be used as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm for a period recommended by your doctor based on your condition. Drug-Drug Interactions: Nasonex Nasal Spray Suspension 18 gm may have interaction with medicines such as antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), anti-epileptic medicines (carbamazepine), anti-tuberculosis drugs (rifampicin), antacids (cimetidine), anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir, cobicistat), bronchodilators (formoterol, albuterol)

Drug-Food Interactions: It is safe to limit alcohol and caffeine intake.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have/had tuberculosis, infection, weak immune system, or kidney or liver problems.
