About Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine

Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine belongs to the group of medications called ‘immunising agents’ used to prevent influenza or flu in children and adolescents aged 24 months to less than 18 years. Influenza is a viral infection caused by the influenza virus.

Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine contains Influenza made from a live, weakened or attenuated influenza virus. It helps the body to develop immunity by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies.

In some cases, Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine may cause side effects such as a runny or stuffy nose, decreased appetite, and weakness. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. However, consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine. Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine is not recommended in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions/side effects.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine if you are allergic to it, have a blood disorder or cancer that affects the immune system, if you have a weak immune system or are already taking aspirin. Inform your doctor if you have severe asthma or if you are in contact with a person with a severely weakened immune system. Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children below 24 months due to the risk of side effects.

Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine helps the body to protect by stimulating the immune system to form antibodies.

Do not give your child acetylsalicylic acid/aspirin (used to relieve pain) for four weeks after the vaccination with Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine unless advised by the doctor due to the risk of Reye’s syndrome (a very rare, serious disease that can affect the brain and liver).

Nasovac-S4 Influenza Vaccine is indicated in the prophylaxis of influenza. None of the ingredients in the vaccine can cause the flu.
