Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm belongs to a combination of medicines called antibiotics primarily used in the treatment of various bacterial infections of the skin associated with wounds, cuts, ulcers, burns and umbilical cord dressing. Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm does not work against infections caused by virus and fungus.
Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm is a combination of three antibiotics, namely: Neomycin, Bacitracin and Sulfacetamide. Neomycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Bacitracin works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls that are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Sulfacetamide works by preventing the production of folic acid (a nutrient) by bacteria that is essential for multiplication of bacteria. Thereby, Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm kills bacteria and clears the infection.
