About Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm

Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm belongs to a combination of medicines called antibiotics primarily used in the treatment of various bacterial infections of the skin associated with wounds, cuts, ulcers, burns and umbilical cord dressing. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm does not work against infections caused by virus and fungus.

Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm is a combination of three antibiotics, namely:  Neomycin, Bacitracin and Sulfacetamide. Neomycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Bacitracin works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls that are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stops the leakage of cell contents. Sulfacetamide works by preventing the production of folic acid (a nutrient) by bacteria that is essential for multiplication of bacteria. Thereby, Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm kills bacteria and clears the infection.

Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm is for external use only. Apply a small amount of Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm to the clean and dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid contact of Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm with nose, ears, mouth or eyes. In case Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Your doctor will advise you how often you take Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience rash, dry skin, swelling, redness or itching at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Do not cover the treated area with dressings or bandages unless advised by your doctor.  Do not use Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm to treat serious burns, deep or puncture wounds or raw areas without consulting a doctor. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, please inform your doctor before taking Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm. Do not apply Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects and makes skin more sensitive to Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm. Do not swallow Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm. In case of accidental swallowing, contact nearby poison control centre or consult a doctor immediately. If you have lupus (an autoimmune disease in which immune system attacks its own organs and tissues) or asthma, inform your doctor before taking Nebasulf Sprinkling Powder 10 gm.
