About Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml

Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml is an antimalarial medicine used in the treatment of malaria. Malaria is a parasitic disease caused due to the plasmodium species. The infection occurs when the infective female Anopheles mosquito bites. Symptoms may include chills, on-and-off fever, and sweating. This medicine is only used to treat the infection but does not prevent or use it for severe conditions (where the infection is spread to the brain, kidneys, or lungs). Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml is also used to manage chloroquine-resistant malaria.

Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml contains Alpha Beta Arteether, which belongs to the class of antimalarial/ antiparasitic drugs. It works by increasing the harmful toxic, and highly reactive free radicals in the blood. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. In this way, Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml is used for the prevention of relapse of malaria caused by plasmodium species.

Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml may cause certain side effects such as nausea, dizziness, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea, body pain, stomach discomfort, and injection site reactions. These side effects usually disappear without any medical attention. However, if these side effects persist, inform your doctor immediately. Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml is a parenteral medicine. A healthcare professional will administer it, hence do not self-administer. Your doctor will decide the dose of the medicine based on the severity of your disease.

Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have/had any liver/kidney disease, heart problem, or taking any other medicines before receiving Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml to avoid interactions. This medication should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women since it may affect the fetus and newborns. Nectrather-Supra Injection 2 ml is only suggested for use in children if prescribed by a paediatrician and if taken with adequate care and dose. This medication is used to treat malaria either alone or in combination with other medications.
