NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML belongs to a group of medicines called 'prokinetics and antipsychotics' used to treat gastrointestinal problems like dyspepsia (indigestion), nausea, vomiting and diabetic gastro-paresis when oral therapy is not advisable/feasible. Additionally, NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML may also be used to treat psychosis, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, vertigo, Tourette’s syndrome, dizziness, irritable bowel syndrome, heartburn, peptic ulcers, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML contains 'Levosulpiride', which enhances the contractions in the gut and stomach emptying. Thereby improves food movement through the gastrointestinal tract and treats disorders related to the stomach and intestines. Besides this, NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML also works by interfering with the activity of dopamine in the brain, thus improving mood.

NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML will be administered by a qualified healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML may cause side effects such as abdominal pain, drowsiness, constipation, weight gain, unusual tiredness and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you have gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation. NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML may cause drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol with NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Keep your doctor informed about your medications and health condition to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Do not take NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML if you are allergic to any of its components; if you have pheochromocytoma (tumour in the adrenal glands), mania, epilepsy, pituitary gland prolactinoma (tumour of the pituitary gland), breast cancer, or porphyria (blood disorder). Inform your doctor if you have/had gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical blockage/perforations, cerebrovascular problems, heart, kidney, or liver problems. NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. NEOPRIDE 12.5MG INJECTION 2ML may cause drowsiness; therefore, caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery.

Acidity & Indigestion:

• Eat smaller meals more often.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn.
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.
• Avoid lying down immediately after eating.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes.
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.
• Practise relaxation techniques and avoid stress by doing yoga or meditation.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda. 
• Avoid sitting continuously as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5 minutes every hour by doing brisk walking or stretching.

• Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.

• Perform meditation and yoga.
