About Nimulid Transgel

Nimulid Transgel belongs to the group of medicines called NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, sprain, contusion, and soft tissue rheumatic disorders. 
 
Nimulid Transgel contains Nimesulide which works by inhibiting the effect of chemical messengers known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby blocking the effect of prostaglandins which cause pain and inflammation. Thus, Nimulid Transgel helps in reducing pain and inflammation. 
 
In some cases, you may experience side effects such as application site reactions like itching and skin redness. Please consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nimulid Transgel is not recommended for children below 12 years. Do not apply Nimulid Transgel on infected, injured, or irritated skin. Avoid contact of Nimulid Transgel with eyes and mucous membrane; if contact occurs, wash with water immediately.

Directions for Use

Cream/Ointment/Gel: Apply it to the affected area and gently massage it in.Spray: Point the nozzle towards the area of the application and spray the medication from at least 6-8inches away from the application site for even distribution of the drug. Gently spread the medication if required, do not rub.

Nimulid Transgel is not recommended for children below 12 years. Do not use Nimulid Transgel on broken, injured, infected or abraded skin. Avoid covering the treated area with dressings or bandages.

Nimulid Transgel works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Thereby, Nimulid Transgel helps in providing relief from pain.

Avoid concomitant use of Nimulid Transgel with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturisers, insect-repellent creams, and other gels.

Do not cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Nimulid Transgel. Covering the skin or applying heat might increase the amount of drug absorbed into the skin leading to unpleasant side effects.

Do not apply Nimulid Transgel on wounds, skin injuries, irritated skin, skin abrasions, rashes, and infections. Apply Nimulid Transgel on healthy skin only.

Avoid using Nimulid Transgel on larger areas for longer durations unless recommended by the doctor. Use Nimulid Transgel only as advised by the doctor.

Special Advise

  • Wash your hands after use. However, do not wash your hands if you are using Nimulid Transgel on the hands.
  • If Nimulid Transgel comes in contact with eyes, mouth or nose, wash with water immediately. Consult a doctor if irritation persists.
  • Avoid direct exposure to sunlight to reduce the possibility of photosensitivity.
