Nodis Syrup 100 ml

Nodis Syrup 100 ml belongs to the class of medications called ‘antiflatulent agent’ used to reduce symptoms of gas such as bloating and abdominal pain. Bloating is the accumulation of gas in the stomach and intestines. It occurs due to swallowing of air while eating or drinking too fast, having oily or spicy food, or having large meals.

Nodis Syrup 100 ml contains ‘Dimethicone’. It works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles to release the gas more efficiently. It facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping).  It helps to reduce abdominal pain caused due to gas formation.

You should take this medicine exactly as advised by the physician. The common side-effects of Nodis Syrup 100 ml are stomach upset and diarrhea. These side effects are mild and temporary. However, if any of these side effects persist or get worse, inform your physician immediately.

It is not recommended to take Nodis Syrup 100 ml if you are allergic to it. Before taking Nodis Syrup 100 ml, inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It should be used with caution in children. Avoid consuming alcohol as it may increase the risk of side effects. Nodis Syrup 100 ml may not affect your ability to drive.

• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda. Avoid eating larger meals
• Try to avoid alcohol as it can affect your stomach and intestine and limit the absorption of the essential nutrients required by your body.
• Avoid tight-fitting clothes as it might increase the pressure on the abdomen.
• Quit smoking.

Bloating: It is a condition in which air or gas gets accumulated in the stomach and intestines. You may feel that the abdomen is full and the abdomen may or may not be enlarged. The common causes of bloating are eating or drinking too fast, drinking carbonated beverages, eating large meals, smoking, having oily or spicy food, indigestion, and constipation. Symptoms include stomach pain, burping, and gas.
