Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion is a combination of two antibiotic drugs: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin prevents the bacteria from repairing and dividing. Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, headache, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Talk to your doctor if you experience pain in tendons, swelling, and inflammation, as Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion may increase the risk of tendon rupture and tendonitis. Consult your doctor before taking Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion as it may cause increased dizziness. Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion is not recommended for use in children.

Do not take Olfox O 200mg/500mg Infusion if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have/had swelling or tearing of tendons while taking quinolone antibiotics; if you have myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, heart, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions/side effects.

• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.
