About OPTIDEW EYE DROPS

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS belongs to the class of medications called 'ophthalmologic agents' used in treating dry eyes. Dry eye is a condition in which there is decreased production of tears by lachrymal glands (tear glands) due to vitamin A deficiency, allergic eye diseases or eye infections. It causes damage to the eye's outer coverings (cornea and conjunctiva) and increases the risk of inflammation or infections.

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS is a combination of two medicines, D-Panthenol and Hyaluronic acid. D-Panthenol is derived from Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It has regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties and helps relieve dry eye symptoms and further damage to the eye. Hyaluronic acid is a complex polysaccharide or sugar naturally found in the eye. It is used as a component in eye drops to lubricate eyes and relieve dry eye symptoms.

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS is for ophthalmological use only. You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of OPTIDEW EYE DROPS are application site reactions such as burning/stinging sensation or redness in the eye, increased eye sensitivity to the light, stickiness of eyelashes, swelling of eyelids, blurred vision and watery eyes. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist.

Do not take OPTIDEW EYE DROPS if you are allergic to Hyaluronic acid, D-Panthenol or any other contents present in it. Before taking OPTIDEW EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you have glaucoma (a condition with increased pressure in the eye), ulcers in the eye, have undergone or are scheduled for eye surgery or any other eye problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Directions for Use

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS is only for ophthalmic use. Shake the bottle well before each use. Instil the eye drops by pulling down the lower eyelid to form a pocket between the eyelid and the eye. Your doctor will determine how long you need to use OPTIDEW EYE DROPS based on your condition.

Medicinal Benefits

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS is a combination of two medicines: D-Panthenol and Hyaluronic acid. D-Panthenol is a chemical substance derived from Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It has anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. Hyaluronic acid is a complex polysaccharide or sugar naturally found in the eye. It retains the water molecules in tears, thereby providing enough lubrication to the eyes. Together, OPTIDEW EYE DROPS can effectively reduce the symptoms of dry eyes and improve overall eye health.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Warnings

Before taking OPTIDEW EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you use any other eye drops or eye ointment. Discontinue using OPTIDEW EYE DROPS if eye irritation persists and inform your doctor. Do not use OPTIDEW EYE DROPS for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. FAQs

OPTIDEW EYE DROPS is a combination of two medicines: D-Panthenol and Hyaluronic acid. D-Panthenol (derivative of vitamin B5) has anti-inflammatory properties, and hyaluronic acid (a complex sugar) helps to moisten and lubricate the eyes. Together, OPTIDEW EYE DROPS can reduce the symptoms of dry eyes.

If you are using other eye drops along with OPTIDEW EYE DROPS, maintain a gap of at least 5 minutes before administering other medicines in the same eye to avoid dilution.

Dry eyes may cause blurred vision due to a decrease in tear production in the eye. However, it doesn't cause permanent disturbances to your vision. The vision improves with the use of eye drops or when your eye condition improves.

Do not wear contact lenses while using OPTIDEW EYE DROPS and discard the eye drops after completing the course of therapy or within one month after opening the bottle. OPTIDEW EYE DROPS may cause sensitivity to light, so wear sunglasses while going outside during the daytime.
