About Ormefen Tablet
Ormefen Tablet contains medicine known as 'contraceptive', used to prevent unintended pregnancy. It is a non-hormonal and non-steroidal contraceptive with very few side effects. Unintended pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurred either unwanted when no children or no more children were desired. Also, pregnancy is mistimed, such as the pregnancy occurring earlier than desired.
Ormefen Tablet contains 'Ormeloxifene', which prevents implantation on the wall of the uterus. Ormefen Tablet may also change the lining of the uterus to prevent the development of a pregnancy. Ormefen Tablet does not have any effect if you are already pregnant hence does not cause abortion.
Take Ormefen Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Ormefen Tablet based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience irregular or delayed periods. Most of these side effects of Ormefen Tablet subside with time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Do not take Ormefen Tablet if you are allergic to Ormefen Tablet or any of the ingredients. Do not take Ormefen Tablet if you are already pregnant, Ormefen Tablet cannot terminate the pregnancy. Ormefen Tablet is safe is taken by breastfeeding women. For the first three months, when you start taking Ormefen Tablet , it is better to use a condom to avoid an unplanned pregnancy.

Do not take Ormefen Tablet if you are allergic to Ormefen Tablet or any ingredients. It is generally taken once a week. If you are already pregnant, Ormefen Tablet cannot terminate the pregnancy, so it is not an abortion pill. Ormefen Tablet can be used with caution in breastfeeding mothers. You should not take Ormefen Tablet without a doctor's advice. Ormefen Tablet is not recommended for children younger than 16 years old. It is advised to use condoms along with Ormefen Tablet for the first three months when you start taking it.

It is a common side effect of Ormefen Tablet to get delayed or lighter period. If periods are delayed by 15 days, please do a pregnancy test. Lighter periods are not harmful as you may lose less haemoglobin every month and fewer iron stores in your body. Thus, you have a very slight chance of suffering from anaemia.
Ormefen Tablet has shown a low effect for harmful interactions with other medicines. But co-administration with certain medicines (Tetracycline and Amoxycillin) has been shown to affect its efficacy. During antibiotic treatment, it is advisable to wear a condom to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
Ormefen Tablet should not be used in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, as the use of Ormefen Tablet may worsen the condition. Consult your doctor for further advice.
