Osteum-V Tablet 10's belongs to the class of 'multivitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, skin disorders, digestive issues, and dementia (memory loss). 

Osteum-V Tablet 10's contains Calcium carbonate, Calcitriol, Folic acid, Vitamin B6, and Methylcobalamin. Calcium carbonate makes the bones stronger by increasing their density. Calcitriol raises the Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. Folic acid helps in producing new blood cells and prevents low folate levels. Vitamin B6 is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. 

Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Osteum-V Tablet 10's may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

Let your doctor know if you use any other medicines before starting Osteum-V Tablet 10's. If you are allergic to any of the components in Osteum-V Tablet 10's, please inform your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before taking Osteum-V Tablet 10's. It is advised to avoid or limit alcohol consumption since it may affect calcium absorption. Osteum-V Tablet 10's should not be given to children unless advised by a doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any heart/kidney/liver diseases or hypercalcaemia (excess calcium levels in the blood) before starting Osteum-V Tablet 10's. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Osteum-V Tablet 10's. Drinking alcohol may hinder Osteum-V Tablet 10's absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Osteum-V Tablet 10's.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Osteum-V Tablet 10's may interact with antacids, anti-cancer drugs (altretamine, fluorouracil, capecitabine), fits medicines (phenytoin, phenobarbital), antibiotics (ceftriaxone, ketoconazole), HIV/AIDS medicines (dolutegravir), hormones (levothyroxine), water pills, high blood pressure medicines (diltiazem), and heart-related medicines (digoxin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Please avoid alcohol while using Osteum-V Tablet 10's to ensure maximum absorption of nutrients.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Use Osteum-V Tablet 10's with medical advice if you have malabsorption syndrome, heart/kidney/liver diseases, hypercalcaemia, and allergic reactions to medicines.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods.

Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know if you are using Osteum-V Tablet 10's since Pyridoxine may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen.
