Pantocid HP Combipack 6's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Pantoprazole, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin. Amoxicillin is bactericidal (kills bacteria) that works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (protective cell wall) necessary for their survival, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria. Clarithromycin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic i.e., it stops the growth of bacteria but necessarily does not kill them. It works by inhibiting the protein synthesis process required for the growth of the bacterial cell. As a result, bacterial cells are not able to reproduce and grow. • Eat smaller meals more often.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid.
• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda.
• Avoid sitting continuously as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5minutes break every hour by doing brisk walking or stretching.

• Make sure you drink plenty of fluids when you are sick. This will, in general help you clear out the infection faster, protect you from dehydration.

• If you feel nauseous after taking Pantocid HP Combipack 6's, stick to simple meals like khichdi, dal roti and other home-cooked meals. Avoid spicy and fatty food.
