Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml is a sterile hypertonic saline solution for inhalation used to help you cough up sputum/mucus in the lungs. Excess mucus can block narrowed air passages and cause discomfort, congestion, breathing problems, and cough.
 
Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml contains ‘Sodium chloride’, which increases the mobilisation of secretions in the lower respiratory tract by an osmotic effect and prevents drying of the bronchial mucus.
 
No common side effects have been reported. In rare cases, Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml may cause temporary irritation (coughing). Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms.
 
Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml is for inhalation only; do not inject or swallow. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml. Do not use Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml if you are allergic to any of its components. Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml is for inhalation via a nebuliser only. Do not inject or swallow the medicine. Pearlneb Respules 5x4 ml should be used with medical supervision if you have a tendency to develop dyspnoea (difficult or laboured breathing). • Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to strengthen your breathing muscles and boost your immune system.
• Drink plenty of fluids as they can help thin the mucus and makes it easier to expel.
• Steam inhalation may also help loosen mucus.
• Include healthy food in your diet.

• Do not mix it with other medications. 
• Opened single-dose respules should not be re-used as it does not contain preservatives; hence may lead to the risk of inhalation/administration of the contaminated solution.  
• Do not use a damaged single-dose respule.
