Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml contains diphtheria and tetanus toxoids. When injected into the muscle, Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml releases a small dose of bacteria or protein of bacteria in the body, which further provides immunity against diphtheria and tetanus diseases.
Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml should be used with caution in the medical history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines (paralysis, encephalopathy), immune system disorders like Guillain-Barre syndrome, HIV infection, high fever, cancers like leukaemia/lymphoma, and fits. Please let your doctor know if your child has any other medical problems before starting Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml.
If your child misses a booster dose, take the next dose as soon as possible. Please be sure that your child receives all the recommended doses of the paediatric version of Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml since your child is not fully protected until he/she receives the complete scheduled series of shots.
If your child has shown a severe allergic reaction after the first shot, he/she should not get the booster doses since it can be life-threatening. Please consult your doctor for more information.
You can take other vaccines along with Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml if you do not have any allergic reactions. If you are taking other vaccines and Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml, they should be given by separate syringes and at different injection sites.
Pentaxim PFS Vaccine 0.5 ml is to be stored in cold places at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze the vial.
