About Provate-D Cream

Provate-D Cream belongs to a class of drugs called 'steroids' primarily used to treat various skin conditions like swelling, itching, and redness like psoriasis (scales and itchy, dry patches), dermatitis (itchy, swelling of the skin), and eczema (itchy, cracked, swollen or rough skin). The skin's swelling occurs when an allergic reaction or skin irritation releases several substances in the skin that widens blood vessels and cause itching, redness, pain, and swelling in the irritated area.

Provate-D Cream contains 'Desoximetasone' a steroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such chemicals are released normally.

Use Provate-D Cream as prescribed by your doctor. Provate-D Cream is only for external use. You are advised to use Provate-D Cream for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience dryness, itching, irritation, or a burning sensation. Most of these side effects of Provate-D Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Provate-D Cream or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Provate-D Cream. Do not use Provate-D Cream in more than prescribed doses, or on a large area of skin for a prolonged period as it may cause adverse effects. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor.  Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as Provate-D Cream catches fire and burns easily. Do not use Provate-D Cream on the face, groin area, or underarms. Do not swallow Provate-D Cream. In case of accidental swallowing, rinse your mouth with plenty of water or consult a doctor immediately.
