About Ramitax Tablet 10's

Ramitax Tablet 10's belongs to a class of drugs called melatonin agonists. Ramitax Tablet 10's is used in the treatment of insomnia (difficulty in falling or staying asleep). Insomnia is a disorder of sleep that causes difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep. It may be acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term).

Ramitax Tablet 10's contains Ramelteon which works by stimulating melatonin receptors in the brain and regulates the sleep-wake cycle. Thus, it promotes sleep and helps to treat insomnia.

Take Ramitax Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Ramitax Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, or tiredness. Most of these side effects of Ramitax Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Drug-Drug Interaction: Ramitax Tablet 10's may interact with antibiotics (rifampin), antifungals (ketoconazole, fluconazole), a medicine used to treat Alzheimer's disease (donepezil), antidepressants (fluvoxamine, doxepin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Ramitax Tablet 10's may interact with grapefruit juice. Therefore, avoid taking Ramitax Tablet 10's with grapefruit juice as it may increase the Ramitax Tablet 10's amount in the blood and increase the risk of severe side effects. Also, avoid intake of alcohol while taking Ramitax Tablet 10's as it may increase side effects.

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have breathing problems, sleep apnoea (a severe condition in which breathing stops and starts repeatedly in sleep), liver disease or depression, inform your doctor before taking Ramitax Tablet 10's.
