About Ranivac 25mg Injection
Ranivac 25mg Injection belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents. It is used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers, indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), and indigestion. It works by decreasing the amount of acid in the stomach.
Ranivac 25mg Injection contains Ranitidine, a histamine-2 (H2) receptor blocker that helps reduce stomach acid by blocking the actions of the H2 receptor. The H2 receptor lies in the parietal cells of the stomach wall, and it is responsible for gastric acid secretion. Excessive gastric acid secretion damages the tissues in the food pipe, stomach, and duodenum.
Ranivac 25mg Injection is administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. Ranivac 25mg Injection shows some common side effects like headache, diarrhoea, stomach ache or abdominal pain, constipation, and feeling sick. These side effects are temporary and may get resolved after some time. However, if these side effects persist, contact your doctor.
Before receiving the Ranivac 25mg Injection, notify your doctor if you are allergic to any medications or foods. If you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant, or if you are a nursing mother, please notify your doctor. Also, before receiving the Ranivac 25mg Injection, inform your doctor if you have or have had kidney, liver, heart, lung, poor immune system, diabetes, stomach cancer, or porphyria (hereditary disease).

Besides this, it also stops acid from coming up from the stomach while under anaesthetic during an operation.

Acid reflux is a frequent medical problem with symptoms ranging from moderate to severe. The chronic, more severe form of acid reflux is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Acid reflux and GERD both cause heartburn.
Diarrhoea could be an unintended consequence of Ranivac 25mg Injection. If you have diarrhoea, drink plenty of water and eat fibre-rich foods. Consult your doctor if you have extreme diarrhoea or find blood in your stools.
