Rite-O-Cef CV Syrup 30 ml is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is used to treat ear, skin, throat, lung, and urinary tract infections caused by bacteria. Bacteria can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. A bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria enter and grow in the body. Rite-O-Cef CV Syrup 30 ml is a combination medicine containing Cefixime (cephalosporin) and Clavulanic acid. Cefixime works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. This causes damage to the bacterial cell wall and eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of cefixime.
