About ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET

ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET belongs to the class of ‘cholesterol-lowering agents’ primarily used to lower abnormally elevated bad cholesterol or fat levels like low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and triglycerides (TG) and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the bloodstream. Hyperlipidaemia or dyslipidaemia occurs when there is an excess of the unhealthy balance of cholesterol in the blood. This condition can clog the blood vessels and leads to coronary heart diseases, like stroke and heart attack.

ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET is composed of two medicines, namely: Rosuvastatin and Calcitriol (Vitamin D3). Rosuvastatin belongs to drugs known as antilipemic agents (cholesterol-lowering)/statins or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. Rosuvastatin lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3 that helps relieve musculoskeletal problems, as the main side effect caused by Rosuvastatin.

Take ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. Like every medicine, ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET also has common side effects that include muscle pain, weakness, headache, constipation, dizziness and stomach pain. These side effects do not occur in everyone using ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET and may vary individually. If these side effects occur, they resolve gradually over time and do not usually require medical attention. However, if you notice any side effects that are not manageable, it is advised to consult your doctor.

Try not to stop taking this medicine of your own. Let your doctor know if you have any kidney, liver or heart diseases, diabetes, lung problems, thyroid disease, alcohol use, muscle pain and brain disorders before starting ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET. ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET is not indicated for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Please avoid or limit alcohol intake since it may lead to increased dizziness while using ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET. ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET is recommended for use in children older than six years of age.

Uses of ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET

Hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol).

Medicinal Benefits

ROSUCHEK D 10MG TABLET is used to treat hyperlipidaemia or dyslipidaemia. It is composed of Rosuvastatin and Calcitriol. Rosuvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering agent or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. It also lowers the bad cholesterol levels and increases good cholesterol levels in the blood. Rosuvastatin reduces the risk of coronary events, such as heart attack, stroke and angina (chest pain). Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3. It raises the Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. Calcitriol helps in relieving musculoskeletal pain, a side effect caused by Rosuvastatin.
