About Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml

Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml belongs to the group of immunizing agents indicated in the prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis caused by type G1, G2, G3, G4 and G9 in infants. Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the gastric (stomach) mucosa characterised by vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps and fever.

Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml contains Rotavirus vaccine-live attenuated that works by stimulating the production of antibodies against the attenuated Rotavirus specimen, thereby helping the immune system to provide protection against Rotavirus infection.

In some cases, Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml may cause side effects such as irritability, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml is for oral use only, not for injection. Inform your doctor if the infant is immunocompromised or if they have gastrointestinal disorders. The safety and effectiveness of Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml in infants less than six weeks and older than 32 weeks of age have not been established.

  • Inform your doctor immediately if you experience a fever after starting a new medication.
  • Your doctor may adjust your medication regimen or dosage as needed to minimize fever symptoms.
  • Monitor your body temperature to monitor fever progression.

  • Get enough sleep. Maintain a regular sleep cycle.
  • Exercise regularly. Try physical activities like walking, running, or dancing.
  • Limit stimulants like tea, coffee and alcohol.
  • Identify triggers and try managing them.
  • Take a break by scheduling time for yourself.
  • Try creative activities like writing, dancing or painting as it helps release tension.
  • Drinking plenty of water helps to flush out toxins and reduce muscle soreness.
  • Applying heat or cold packs to the affected area can reduce muscle spasms and relieve pain.
  • Getting plenty of rest allows muscles to recover and repair themselves, and avoiding overexertion can prevent further strain.
  • Regular exercise improves muscle strength and flexibility, reducing the risk of muscle aches and pains.
  • Practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga reduces stress and anxiety that can exacerbate muscle tension.
  • Avoiding activities that cause muscle strain, such as heavy lifting or repetitive motions, can prevent muscle aches and pains.
  • Maintain a well-balanced diet and getting vitamin D is essential for muscle function, and a deficiency can contribute to muscle aches and pains.

Drug Warnings

Do not give Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml if the infant is allergic to any of the components in Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml, if the infant has Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease (SCID), or a history of intussusception (a condition in which a part of the intestine slides into the adjacent part of the intestine). Inform the doctor if the infant is immunocompromised or has a gastrointestinal illness (active acute gastrointestinal illness, chronic diarrhoea, failure to thrive, history of congenital abdominal disorders, or abdominal surgery). The safety and effectiveness of Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml in infants less than six weeks and older than 32 weeks of age have not been established.

Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml works by stimulating the body to produce antibodies against the rotavirus to protect the body against rotavirus infections.

There are no restrictions on the infant’s food or liquid consumption, including breastmilk, either before or after vaccination with Rotasiil-Liquid Oral Vaccine 2 ml.
