Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. It is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections, conjunctivitis (an eye infection), Toxoplasmosis encephalitis, acute otitis media (ear infection) and nocardiosis (an infection that affects the skin, lungs and brain).

Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's contains Sulfadiazide, which belongs to the class of sulphonamides. It works by stopping the formation of proteins and nucleic acids, which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria.

Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's may cause certain side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia, depression, insomnia, abdominal pain, and skin rashes. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's should be taken as advised by your doctor.

Stop taking Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's if you observe any allergic reactions to Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's. Inform your doctor if you have kidney/liver disease or heart problems. Do not take Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's on your own, as self-medication may lead to antibiotic resistance. This medicine is contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Hence, inform your doctor beforehand. Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as the safety and efficacy are not established.

Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat various bacterial infections. Also, inform your doctor if you have severe allergies, asthma, ulcers, blood disorders, thyroid dysfunction, liver or kidney disease, and heart problems. Avoid alcohol consumption and driving vehicles while taking Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's to prevent unpleasant side-effects. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, contact your doctor for further instructions.

• Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach, which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics, such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
• Eat fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice, as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.

• Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's may affect certain laboratory test results, such as blood tests. Inform the person doing the tests that you are taking Salphaz 500 Tablet 10's. 
• Avoid taking more than the recommended dose or taking self-medication as it can cause drug resistance.
