Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival, thereby, killing the bacteria, preventing the spread of infections. Clavulanic acid works by enhancing the activity of cefixime against bacteria and decreases bacterial resistance.

Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
