Sisocin Eye Drop

Sisocin Eye Drop belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines called aminoglycosides used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, and blepharitis. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea. 
 
Sisocin Eye Drop contains Sisomicin, which works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria and preventing their growth. Thereby, Sisocin Eye Drop helps in treating bacterial infection of the eye.
 
In some cases, Sisocin Eye Drop may cause side effects such as a burning sensation and itching. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid touching the tip of the container as it may contaminate the contents. Keep your doctor informed regarding your health condition and the medicines you are taking to prevent any side effects/interactions.zzzzzzzzzz

Bacterial eye infections

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
Eye cream/ointment/gel: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment/gel into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

Do not use Sisocin Eye Drop if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you are using any other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.

• Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching the eyes with dirty hands. 

• Avoid rubbing the eyes.

• Avoid sharing eye makeup such as eyeliner, mascara or kohl.

• Always use clean towels or tissues to wipe your eyes and face.

• Regularly wash and change the pillowcases.

• If you wear contact lens: Clean and replace contact lens more often. Never share contact lens. Remember to wash your hands before inserting and after removing the contact lens. 

• Avoid staring at the digital screens for longer durations. Rest your eyes for every 20 minutes.

• Blink regularly as it helps in the spread of hydrating substances such as mucus and tears across the eyes.

Keratitis: Keratitis is the inflammation of the cornea. It is a common problem in people who wear contact lenses. Symptoms of keratitis include eye redness, blurred/decreased vision, and pain.

Blepharitis: Blepharitis is the inflammation of the eyelid that affects eyelashes or tear production. Symptoms include red/itchy eyelids, which may look crusted and greasy.
